Latest Progress Info.... "Plans for our museum
space aboard ship are still in the developmental stage. A new and much larger
compartment (3rd Division quarters) has been suggested by the Naval Park.
I inspected it in mid-January and met with the construction company that
will bid the job. It now seems that we will have little to report to you
until the July reunion business meeting. Being our objective is to build a
first class museum display space, our progress will be deliberate but fully
concerned with quality and workmanship, Necessarily, that involves many unanticipated
details which must be worked out over time. Still, an opening date of July
'07 remains a strong possibility." Jerry Dupuis, Association President
