As the 2010 U.S.S. Little Rock tour season approaches, the ship will again be in need of help in getting cleaned up, painted up and polished up. Again in 2010 the Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park staff needs YOUR help in getting the Little Rock shipshape. Here is your chance to get back to wielding a chipping hammer, a paintbrush or a Brasso soaked rag. NOTE: We are presently planning to have two (2) Workparties in 2010. The dates for the Spring 2010 Workparty are: Monday, MAY 17 to Thursday MAY 20 (Tentatively we are planning on a Fall 2010 Workparty in October.) An important note: It is not necessary for you to volunteer for an entire Workparty. If you can only come for a couple of days, that will be just fine. Come when you can. Leave when you must. Some other useful information: 1. There are
accommodations for berthing on board, with real
mattresses! (No charge!)
2. You will need to provide your own sleeping bag, pillow, towel and personal items. 3. If you do "specialized" work, please bring your own tools. 4. Meals on your own. 5. You should arrive no earlier than Sunday afternoon May 16th. 6. The Workparty will conclude Thursday May 20th. 7. Please
don't sign up until you are
sure you will attend.
