Along with the other (Message Board) reply concerning the Little Rock's deployment schedule from June to October of 1945, the U.S. Naval Institute publication "US Warships of World War II" lists seven other naval vessels with the hull number 92 in active commission during that time. It doesn't give time schedules, but any of these could have been part of that task group. The ships are as follows:
This hopefully gives an idea of which ships may have been in the area to render assistance.
