This photo, similar to the photo below was taken at a different time. The photo was obtained from Ms. Valerie Blouin, grand-daughter of Mere Germaine owner of "La Mere Germaine" in Villefranche-sur-Mer. Ms. Blouin received it from her cousin "Kelley". 

The photo probably was taken between commissioning and the 1962 over- haul. (Note the unique diamond-shaped antenna on the aft mast.) The shoreline and the buildings in the distance are somewhat similar to the  coast of Virginia as you approach Norfolk.

A great shot of the Little Rock entering the locks at IJmuiden in North
Holland. The town of IJmuiden is at the entrance of the North Sea Canal
which connects the North Sea with IJ Bay in Amsterdam, about 25 miles away.

This photograph, which was received by "All Hands" magazine on 9 June 1965, was accompanied by the following caption: "The guided missile cruiser USS Little Rock CLG 4 will take over temporary duty as flagship for Commander Second Fleet Vice Admiral K.S. Masterson on June 19th."

A significant part of the Sixth Fleet at anchor in Augusta Bay, Sicily, on 17 March 65. Photo details from Naval Historical Center state: "The large carrier, at right, is USS Saratoga (CVA-60). Other U.S. Navy ships visible include one Essex class attack aircraft carrier (CVA), two guided missile light cruisers (CLG), two guided-missile frigates (DLG), six destroyers (DD), two oilers (AO) and other auxiliaries. There are also several merchant ships present." (The Little Rock Assoc. Webmaster believes that the ship closest to the center of the photo is the USS Little Rock.)

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the U.S. Navy's Sixth Fleet in the Mediter- ranean Sea, the fleet flagship, the guided missile cruiser USS Little Rock CLG 4 passes the aircraft carriers USS Independence (CVA-62), foreground, and USS Shangri-La (CVA-38). The guided missile cruiser USS Columbus (CG-12) steams aft
of Shangri-La.

Little Rock was at Naples, Italy for change of 6th fleet command from VADM William I. Martin to VADM David C. Richardson on board USS Independence CV62. On the same day a USS Everglades AD 24 crew member,  ET Gary Adams, snapped this photo as well as the photo below. Close examination of the photos will show they were taken within minutes of each other. Gary is the Historian for the USS Everglades Association.

(Note, Little Rock was at Naples for just the 14th of August.)

On 14 Aug 1968 6th fleet command changed over from VADM William I. Martin to VADM David C. Richardson. This photo, as well as the one above were taken by USS Everglades AD24 crew member Gary Adams. The two photos were taken within minutes of each other.

Note:     The Mikhail Kutuzov is now a museum in Novorossiysk, Russia.
                      
Novorossiysk is the main Russian Port on the Black Sea.
